Applied online via LinkedIn. A couple of weeks after applying received an email from HR for an initial phone screen. After phone screen, met with hiring manager and three other team members the role supported - lasted approx. 3 hours. The questions asked were typical interview questions about your background and experiences. I expected that a decision would be made shortly afterwards as the hiring manager explained that they were looking to move quickly. Received a call from HR requesting a second round of interviews with some of the company's VPs which lasted another 3+ hours. Followed up with HR a week later via email and was given the generic, "the manager decided to pursue other candidates". Asked HR for feedback to correct and improve in future interviews and I was ghosted. That same week, they posted the position again on LinkedIn.
I ended up getting a role with another company which I felt was a much better fit for me. The people the role would support were great but the Finance VP was not a personable person and someone I would want to work for because our styles would clash.
The one thing that really bothered me is if a candidate invests almost ten hours between travel and interviewing, they should receive more than a generic response.
