I first spoke to the head of the department. If I wanted to work as adjunct, that was all I would need to do. I preferred the Visiting Instructor position because of the higher salary. The next step was to give a sample lecture, in my case on Osmosis to the department faculty members. Then I interviewed with the Dean and the Provost for Student affairs. After that I went to lunch with three students. Then I toured the campus and met with HR to learn about the Benefits. I returned to the departmental offices and met with the other faculty. It took most of a day.
