      HR Generalist Interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Corel

      Interview

From the very start, the recruiter was unprofessional. He showed up 15 minutes late to the interview, which only lasted about 13 minutes. Instead of giving me any meaningful details about the role, he spent most of the time bragging about how many candidates he gets—1,000 per week, apparently—and even told me I was "lucky" to be considered for the role, which was honestly really off-putting. The questions he asked were super generic, and I walked away with zero understanding of what the job actually involved. He even asked me, "Are you on a work permit?"—which felt inappropriate and potentially illegal when he should have just asked if I was legally authorized to work. To top it off, the salary range for the contract was an insulting $70-72k. Everything about the interview felt like a red flag, and it only got worse from there. Despite saying I’d hear back, I never received any updates, and he completely ghosted me. Honestly, it was a total waste of time. Honestly expected somthing better :)
