I spoke with an engineer who told me he wanted to have me do an onsite that weekend, I never heard back after that until a few weeks later where I was reached out to to speak with a recruiter who was a total tool. I definitely felt a hostile energy from them for no reason, and didn't feel properly evaluated at all.

Interview
I was invited to participate in a short work trial after an initial screening call. The trial involved working on a real project that the team was actively developing. After submitting my work and having a follow-up discussion with the hiring manager and one engineer, I received an offer within a few days. The entire process was quick and straightforward, with clear communication at each step.

I explained how I’d use a combination of load balancers, horizontally scalable microservices, and a distributed database system. I also touched on caching strategies with Redis, and how I’d monitor system performance using observability tools.
