They need a candiadate to push an NIH project and look for the right person by sending the requirement to a bunch of professors whose research is actitive in th related area. My former advisor forwarded the information to me and I sent my resume to the investigator of the project. With an online interview, I got the offer.

I first went through a Zoom interview with the research group, and then there is a seminar talk onsite to cover the topic that I am familiar with. I do not see particular challenge once the background fits the job.
