Overall It was a simple but lengthy process that took 16 weeks, 8 sit down interviews, 4 phone interviews and a 1-hour personality assessment test. I eventually went to offer on a Friday and found the compensation package to be good but after reviewing the benefits package I soon realized it wasn't very competitive to my current company/position (Mostly around the 401K - Match $.25 up to 6% or 1.5% and paid time off - 2 weeks to start). I then countered my offer on a Saturday at which point they countered me back with another offer that I felt was reasonable. On Sunday I sent one last email inquiring about my typical hours of operations as I never asked that in any of my interviews. They did respond with a specific start time at which point I asked to have a quick call for further clarification on Monday with the hiring or HR manager. That Monday the hiring manager called me and said they were pulling my offer. When asked why she wouldn't provide a reason and only said it was a gut decision. Bottom line, I spent 25+ hours of interviewing for this position and apparently me slightly countering one offer and asking for clarification broke the camel's back.
