I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Costello Medical (Singapore) in Aug 2021
Interview
The very first stage of the application after submitting my resume and cover letter involved a written assessment. A total of five questions based on a paper, to be completed in just over a week. After submitting the written assessment, it takes a few days for them to get back to you.
With a successful written assessment, I was invited for an interview. This consisted of three parts: (1) a presentation about the paper from the written assessment (2) a competency interview (3) a proof reading task.
The interview is a big step up from the first written assessment in terms of difficulty, mostly as it is almost a three hour process. However, everyone at the interview was friendly, which helped to calm any nerves I had. Though it felt daunting leading up to the interview, when the time came, the interview did not feel overwhelming.
The presentation is free in structure, and as with any presentation, consists of a Q&A section at the end. The proof-reading task is straight-forward. There is a time constraint for the proof-reading task, so time management is valuable.
After the interview process, it took a few days to hear back on the outcome.
Throughout the process the team behind recruitment were very helpful with any questions I had, or any issues I had encountered.
The first round was a more informal phone call. After I passed this, I was provided a technical assessment that was graded before they shared the opportunity for a final technical interview.

Interview
Costello seem to have an open job advert and it appears they are only after the very best. An extremely time consuming technical assessment which seems very other the top for an entry level role. On top of that they give very generic feedback about grammar for the written assessment which I know is not true as I made sure to be very thorough. It seems crazy to reject a candidate for grammar given grammar and AL tools are used nowadays rather than judge them on their scientific capabilities.

The interview process was smooth and straightforward, with standard questions. The team was very accommodating, professional, and welcoming, creating a comfortable environment that made the experience positive and stress-free overall.
