3 part process that was quite tedious. First part is CV/ cover letter check - they tell you that most candidates are eliminated at this stage. Second part is the writing task and proofreading assessment - you're given a writing task where you have to answer some questions and make corrections on a word document. Then the proofreading assessment is one hour to find as many errors in a document. Third and final stage is the interview - 3 part process. 1st part you have to present the findings of an appraisal then answer questions. 2nd part you have a panel and answer more traditional questions. 3rd part is the exact same thing as the 2nd part where they will literally ask you the same questions again but just not as many. You can tell that they're just asking questions on a list so they go on for however long it takes you to answer all the questions they have.

After CV and cover letter review, there was an invitation to an initial assessment of proofreading work on medical papers that needs to be done within a timeline and sent back

The interview process began with brief introductions, followed by a 10-minute presentation on a pre-assigned topic, for which preparation time was provided approximately two weeks in advance. This was followed by a combination of structured and more open-ended questions relating to the presentation, allowing for both clarification and deeper discussion. This portion of the interview was conducted by a Senior Medical Writer and a Senior Analyst and lasted approximately 30 minutes in total. The second half of the interview focused on competency-based and fit-related questions, conducted by a Consultant and the APAC region head. This segment lasted around 45 minutes and provided an opportunity to discuss my background, motivations, and suitability for the role in greater depth.
