Interview
Had 2 calls, first with the head of the team and second with the team members. Process ran very quickly with updates on next step being given within a few days.
People were pleasant to speak to, but when I updated HR that I have decided to pass on the opportunity, did not receive a reply or acknowledgement. Not a big deal but it did somewhat change my impression of them.
Stage 1 — HR Screening Interview
After being referred, the HR Manager reached out and conducted the first interview. This stage assessed both culture fit and technical/industry knowledge equally — consistent with HR's dual gatekeeping role of checking organisational compatibility alongside baseline competency.
Stage 2 — Hiring Manager Interview
A week later, the direct manager (PR & Communications Manager, Prestige Niche Division) conducted a second interview, focused primarily on role-specific skills and experience — assessing whether the candidate had the relevant industry and strategic HC for the position.
