The scheduling process is nice as they're formally branded emails inviting you to schedule first interview through a portal. Then, you get a reminder for the interview the day before. Very quick call despite the 45 mins invite. There was a quick rundown of what the company does, and what the team is doing and how you'd be working within the team. This is typically where HR is very passionate and sells the company to you. It's an opportunity to market your company. This is the first interview I've ever gone to where the recruiter seemed unexcited about the company. Everything was recited quickly without much enthusiasm. At that stage, I already knew it was going to be challenging to gain their attention since they didn't even seem like they wanted to be there. The questions were standard: tell me about yourself, go over some of the specifics of what makes you a good candidate, what challenges have you faced in your career, etc. As I expected, the recruiter had no questions to challenge my answers, and all they answered was : "Got it." to each answer, despite the variating levels of details and variating notions I shared. Very dry, uninterested and uninteresting. At the end, they explain what the rest of the interview process looks like. I haven't received any offer and just got ghosted. I don't think it was a loss on my end either to have been ghosted, since the first contact I got from the company lacked enthusiasm for technology and AI.
