After discussing the position with the recruiter, I had a phone interview with the hiring manager. Most of the questions asked were business oriented and not very technical. My age came up in the interview after I discussed my extensive experience. After which the interview ended fairly quickly. I too feel Ageism was a factor. Its a shame, they are really missing out by not considering seasoned resources.
