Lengthy Interview Process, No Follow-Up, and Questionable Practices. I recently interviewed for a Copywriter position at Adtalem Education Group. The process began over a month ago. My initial interview went very well, and I quickly progressed to a second interview with the lead Copywriter, which was equally positive and encouraging. After that, I was scheduled to meet with a VP nearly two weeks later—a delay I now recognize might have been a red flag.
The VP interview also went well. I was told the next phase would likely include a meeting with someone from the design team I'd potentially collaborate with. In the meantime, I was asked to complete a writing assignment to demonstrate my skills, which I did thoughtfully and thoroughly.
It’s now been over two weeks since my last interview, and I’ve received no feedback, updates, or closure—despite multiple follow-ups. This is disappointing, especially after three rounds of interviews and a detailed take-home assignment.
Candidates deserve timely communication and respect for the time and effort they invest in the process. The lack of response feels unprofessional and inconsiderate. It also raises concerns about whether the assignment was truly evaluative or simply a way to collect free creative ideas from applicants.
If you’re considering applying here, proceed with caution and trust your instincts. Transparency and candidate care should be non-negotiable in any hiring process.
