Cozymeal Business Development interview questions

I applied and instantly someone emailed me to set up an interview with the CEO. I met him on a video call for the first interview. He asked me how would I sell to a specific city, and what would my strategy look like. I felt like he was just digging around for actual selling methods to implement for his own business instead of looking to hire someone because I was qualified and had industry relationships that would have greatly benefited his business, so it just didn’t make sense. I get an automated email from the “person” who set up the interview telling me that I was not selected but they will keep my resume on file. Such a bogus statement and I wish companies would stop pretending they keep our resumes on file. So, just to see what they would say I asked about the other positions that are currently open and of course I never heard back. I think this guy is looking for ways to run his business because he really doesn't know and is getting out of paying a consulting firm by using experienced professionals to advise him on selling strategies, in the guise of "an interview".
