I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Florissant, MO) in Jun 2018
Interview
The interview went very well. When I first walked in I was greeted by a host and she brought me to the back and sat me at a table, and brought me out a drink. The interviewer was in the process of interviewing another guy so I just waited patiently which it wasn’t a long wait at all. And once it was my turn it went like a breeze he asked me a couple of questions and he asked me when was I able to start and was I looking for a seasonal position or a long term position. Then I did a quick background check. He told me a little about the position and he also offered me an iced Carmel latte that was new on the menu which was very nice and that was all. I was called a few days later and was told my date and time to come in for orientation. It was pretty simple
The interview was easy. They know most of these servers are just starting out. But they want you to know how to upsell, and how to work in a fast pace environment.
I applied online. I interviewed at Cracker Barrel (Shrewsbury, PA) in Nov 2025
Interview
It went pretty well, just asked the norm, such as tell me a little about yourself and why do you want to work here. Just asked simple questions and told me I had the job and what day to come in next. I applied to be a server and they told me I would get 25 hours a week, but they ended up making me a to-go specialist and I’m getting like 6 hours a week. I also didn’t get scheduled for a month after my interview but I’m working a bit now.

Question 1
Give me a situation with a difficult customer and how you handled it
Very easy, seems like they were looking for a pulse. Mine was done at the checkerboard in the dining room. not a difficult job, so not a difficult interview. I don't remember any specific questions
