For my interview, I met with the hiring manager, along with a peer to the role I was interviewing for. Before I even sat down, the hiring manager immediately started firing off questions. I could definitely tell that she was eager to get through as many questions as possible. The interview lasted about 25 minutes or so, I was then asked to meet with the VP of HR. That was another 15 minutes or so. Lastly, they asked me to complete a Spanish speaking interview with the Payroll Manager to assess my Spanish speaking skills.
Overall, the impression I had of the team is that they were in immediate need of staff and that business was “very fast paced” - they must have said this 15+ times.
After the interview, I never heard back from the company. No call, no generic “thank, but no thank you” email. Nothing. As an HR professional, it’s disappointing to see that companies still treat candidates so poorly. Companies definitely need to realize the importance of the candidate experience, even if an offer is not extended.
