I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Crane Worldwide Logistics (Houston, TX) in Aug 2024
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter who conducted a phone screening and asked some follow-up questions by email. About a week later I was offered a virtual interview with the hiring manager.
The hiring manager did not have video on and did not offer a reason why, which made the whole hour-long interview very awkward for me. I will never start answering interview questions under these circumstances again. The hiring manager also seemed generally uninterested in my experience, did not ask many follow-up questions, and never made a reference to my resume.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at Crane Worldwide Logistics
Interview
I got an interview here through an external recruiter.
I meet with the HM, and then am invited to do a take home assessment. I spend a full day on it, and presented the following week. I felt like I put a lot of effort into this assignment (mainly because I am out of work and need a job). I followed the directions to a tee, and overall prepared well. The assignment was very open-ended.
When it came time to present, something told me that the HM was uninterested in what I had prepared for them. I didn't get any feedback, and felt they just put together this assignment with a bunch of "gotcha" criteria. After I was done presenting, we went into this stiff/awkward technical interview out of nowhere with unclear questions and just a weird interview vibe altogether.
Then at the end of the week they went with someone else. Whatever, thanks for wasting my time.
