Started with a couple phone calls: one with the recruiter and the next with the CTO. Both seemed to be aimed at clearing up questions I had and seeing if we'd be a good match for each other in terms of fit, passion, values, etc.
Afterwards there was a technical phone screen with one of the engineers. The problems we tackled were very practical and realistic instead of trying to drum up tricky algorithm knowledge somewhere deep in my memory from academia.
Finally, there was the onsite interview where I got to meet with the co-founders and many of the engineers I'd be working with upon joining. Got to get lunch with the team as well. There were 2:1 and 1:1 technical interviews that were challenging but fair. Everyone was super helpful in answering any questions I had and the whole experience was very welcoming.
Accepting the offer was an easy decision after learning about the impressive traction and quality team Crew has.
