      Software Engineer Interview

      Jul 23, 2018
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Crew in Jul 2018

      Interview

The interview process was pleasant and predictable until the last round of the onsite interview. I had two screenings, one technical exercise that was fairly easy and practical. I was then called in for a 5 hour onsite interview. The exercises were all white boarding and relatively harder than the technical screening, but fair nonetheless. The phone interviewers were open to the level of experience I had but at the onsite interview, it was clear they were looking for more senior. After the third round of in person interviewing, instead of being told I was already eliminated after the third round, a bogus excuse was made up and I was told a call would be rescheduled. After following up immediately after, I received an e-mail saying I wouldn't be fit for the role, etc etc. There was no rescheduled call in the cards for me. I could tell I wasn't good enough for the role based on the body languages and reactions I got from everyone and that's ok. The way they orchestrated this was disrespectful of people who were giving up their time to take part in their numbers game. It is better to be honest with people or you might just have people who see through it call you out on Glassdoor. Also, no feedback is given fyi.
