Frustrating. I was called in within hours of submitting my resume, and had an immediate phone interview. She scheduled me an in person interview later that week. I show up for the in person interview and immediately have to fill out a 9 page application, which took about 20 minutes to complete thoroughly. The group of people who interviewed me were not ready, so I had to wait longer. On top of that, I was told it would a 1:1 interview. I'm pretty good at improvising, but anyone would appreciate the opportunity to prepare for an interview properly.
The interview was great. The company was great. I was in the room with them for almost an hour, and I left feeling incredibly optimistic this was my next career move. I was promised I'd have an answer either way within the week, and that someone would definitely be back to me.
That was January. After numerous follow up emails to each of my interviewers, it's now April with not even as much as a phone call. I found out from a friend who works there that they hired two people a week later. I've since moved on and secured a much better position at an awesome company doing twice the job I interviewed for here.
Snooze you lose, I suppose.
