Interview
Lengthy, clunky, disconnected interview process; lasted over nine weeks. Basically a series of 30 min phone screens with a number of people. One call lasted about 10 min, very rushed. Seemed promising to have further in-depth discussions on-site to explore the role and review my background in more detail. Also to meet with local team with whom this role interacts on a daily basis, but everything stalled. The periods of unresponsiveness had me considering pulling from the process. I was relieved to eventually receive a rejection email and gain closure. Early on, I was told by TA that the hiring team was picky, which is understandable, but in this market, it's not wise to leave candidates in the dark for long with many other prospects out there, especially companies with far better ratings. I stayed in the process because the job seemed really interesting and exciting, I thought I clicked with the HM, but the other layers and calls were very awkward and strange.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Cubic (Redhill, South West England, England) in Apr 2024
Interview
Two stage interview. First interview with Hiring Manager plus one other and followed by a test. Second interview more informal over teams with potential colleague in Ireland. Difficulty as would expect for the job level and technical nature of the role.
