The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Current Health (London, England)
Interview
5-6 interview
At first it was reasonable and questions was related to the field, things like interpreting the results of classification models and deciding which model has a better performance, also I was asked about designing experiment and how to decide different parameters- mostly related to power analysis and A/B testing.
Technical interview was completely irrelevant to data science field, I was interviewed by a software engineer and probably his lack of knowledge in data science field made him to ask me questions like what’s the difference between CSV and data lake format and why VS code is better that Data bricks!!!! In roughly 4 years of working as a data scientist I’ve never had any problem because I didn’t know the difference between columnar or row-wise file format!! Data science is about solving problems for the business with the tools provided to you by the employer.
I don’t recommend going through the process unless you are more software engineer than data scientist.
For me it was completely waste of time, and I’m really disappointed spending time in those interviews.
