Rec'd call from HR manager after applying to online ad. Did my research first, and found all of the negative reviews here on GlassDoor, so I want in warily.
First part of interview was filling out a job application with all of the information on my resume. Asks for addresses or contact number for former employers, so bring them with you if you don't know them by heart.
Then met with HR manager for 20 minutes. She basically went over my resume with me. Did not talk very much about the work environment at the company, just the products they make, which sounded interesting.
She disappeared and brought back a senior engineer, who up front told me that they deal with very difficult and picky clients who change their minds all the time, so they work with constantly changing deadlines and requirements. Then asked detailed questions about my engineering experience, and for specific examples of how I work under pressure.
Her interview style and substance seemed to confirm the employee reviews on this site that say that the company does not have a good grasp on allowing employees an appropriate work/life balance, probably because of the clients they have to deal with. Would be a better place for someone right out of school who just needs experience. Called HR manager next day to ask to be removed from consideration.
