Interview
I had applied for a Software Engineer position. After 10 days I got a call from one of the hiring manager. He asked about my work experience and education and then he setup a 30 min 1:1 technical phone interview that week. The interviewer started by asking questions in ASP.NET, OOP Concepts, and SQL questions. After two days I got the call from HR saying that I cleared the technical round of interview and then he setup another 30 min technical interview with one of the technical managers. I couldn't clear this round.

You take the exam and after that exam you are shortlisted and then you are able to sit in the interview ,so 2 to3 round before your interview .so its a standard that most companies follow
