In a nutshell, they were who I thought they were. I've seen this position posted by Cybrary again and again. And after a phone screen, I understand why.
I spoke briefly with one of their recruitment reps and all was confirmed. They have been pressuring employees back into the office pre-maturely to a widely available Covid vaccine. So if you're airing on the side of caution and remote work, this is not the place for you. Companies that are not telework friendly are with this way with only one goal in mind: micromanagement. The rep I spoke with was very clear with me that Cybrary is stand-offishly anti-telework.
Upon further discussion, it was also made plain that this role would basically be a backdoor sales position vs a retention focused position. A lot of companies get this role wrong and use it as a junior sales role or some catch-all. The compensation for the position was very entry-level to put it lightly.
I was asked very situational questions which is strange for a phone screen . This early on they should really just be about discussing your applicable work experience. The questions asked made little sense and were in no way applicable to the role at hand.
In short, it just wasn't a fit from a cultural perspective or an operational perspective. I ended up removing myself from the process early. They clearly had a very poor perspective on the role and today's pandemic influenced workplace.
