I only interacted with one recruiter who used automated messaging with "no-reply" set up so you couldn't ask any questions. After speaking 2x on the phone I was ghosted. There were supposed to be next steps that never got followed through. I feel like this may be one bad apple but I have heard from colleagues that they have had very similar experiences.
