The process started in late December and ended in early February, so about six weeks in total. It started with a phone screen with myself and a few others. The call was mostly about my background and interest in DEKA. It went well and I was invited for an onsite interview in January. The interview was a panel of engineers and the hiring manager for me. Basically they ask brain teasers and about your background. All around enjoyable experience. I later received a call from the hiring manager saying he wanted to make me an offer and the HR team should contact me shortly. The recruiter I had been in contact with said their HR team should be getting back to me soon. A few weeks went by and I received no contact from the HR people. I was in contact with the recruiter for that time period that basically summed up some internal moves had happened and the position was currently on hold. The recruiter got back to me fairly quickly, though I did have to initiate contact everytime. At the end they told me they had filled the position with an internal resource and the job was officially closed. Overall, a positive experience and I'd be happy to interview with DEKA again. I would suggest that they spend more time on interview to offer process, as 4-5 weeks to make an offer is longer than normal, but I understand my experience does have some special circumstances.
