I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at DEKA Research and Development (Manchester, NH) in Jul 2014
Interview
Submitted resume online as well as through a few head-hunters. (The head-hunters get cut out of the picture once they hear you have applied directly.) A couple weeks later I was contacted by Email about setting up a phone interview. The phone interview did not go well. They didn't seem to know what it was that they were looking for. i.e. We are looking for someone who can do this, but we are not sure this is what we need. I ended the conversation early. I didn't see any reason to continue the discussion.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The questions were technical. i.e. Have you done X before? How would you go about doing Y. etc. Nothing you can prepare for, either you have done it or you haven't.
Initial call with the recruiter to discuss the role followed by virtual interview with multiple team members. Asked about projects, experience with some technologies, and some basic programming/data structure questions.
