I applied in-person. I interviewed at DICK'S Sporting Goods (Fairfax, VA) in Mar 2016
Interview
Basic online application followed by 2-part in-person interview. Then an online assessment, about 20 minutes in length in between interviews. Should the position be offered, orientation videos and a store tour make up training. A lead or veteran associate and the respective manager will mentor you on the sales floor as you pick up the lingo and groove of business. Knowing an associate and having them give your name helps when submitting the application.

Interview
The interview process is very easy. They ask a few scenario questions. Make sure to try to make conversation and not just answer the questions. My interviewer seemed really happy with that.

Interview
After submitting my application online, I got a call about 2-3 days later to set up an interview for the following week. I came in for my interview and found an associate to let them know I was here for an interview, they were super friendly, and directed me where to go. The assistant manager conducted my interview. They ask the usual "textbook" interview questions. Lots of questions about different types of scenarios.
