I applied for a role last summer for a different role. I had an initial screening and took an assessment. Then the trail went cold. I received an email recently for this role, and in ONE WEEK I had a phone screening, another assessment, 2 video interviews, an in person interview, AND an offer. Most of the discussion during all 4 of my meetings was about my background and ability to do the advertised job.
