Interview process: Lengthy, disorganised, and poorly communicated.
I went through an extremely long and frustrating interview process for this role, spanning several months from application to final outcome.
The process included multiple stages, a take-home exercise, and a detailed presentation, all of which required a significant time investment. While the interviewers themselves were professional and the conversations were generally positive, the overall recruitment experience suffered from repeated delays, long periods of silence, and unclear communication around timelines.
On several occasions, I was told I would receive feedback by a certain date, only for those deadlines to pass with no update at all. Follow-ups often went unanswered fo several weeks, and there was no proactive communication to manage expectations or explain delays.
I appreciate that internal factors can impact timelines, but the lack of transparency and candidate care made the process feel poorly managed and disrespectful of my’ time, especially given the amount of work I put in preparing for exercises and presentations .
There are interesting problems being solved in this space, but I would strongly encourage the company to review how it runs its recruitment process, particularly around communication, decision-making timelines, and closure for candidates.
