This was the worst interview process I have experienced in my life. The person interviewed made no eye contact, could not build relationships, and had terrible interpersonal skills. The attitude was he knew everything, asked tons and tons of questions and gave zero room to ask any, and should honestly have no direct reports or the ability to hire anyone. There was unnecessary arrogance, a rushed process as if he was to have someone hired already. I would have NEVER taken the job even if offered. He talked about teamwork and culture but was clueless about what that meant. This person was well educated but is very green and needs some serious coaching. He is a Director in an impressive company, but there have been acquisitions. This person needs some effective coaching on managing people and hiring processes. It requires a lesson in being humble as well. This was related to the DRIVERSE division. The goal was not only to interview in a two-step process but make a decision the same week. No feedback or follow-up after doing two interviews the same week. Purely speculating, but this person has the age-old issue of hiring someone with more experience than they do, which has always been my personal goal. If any execs in the company would like to know who their initials are, JC.
