It was an on-campus opportunity for Associate Professional- Software Engineer. Things you should note before I talk about the placement procedure: 1. I am B. Tech CSE student with basic programming skills only (C, C++) and basic Web D. skills (HTML, CSS, Bootstrap). 2. Since this was the very first placement I prepared nothing (0 preparation) for the actual placement and still got selected. (So it was the easiest placement I could have ever given in my life). 3. As is evident package is not that high for such a placement and CTC was 3.6 lpa. There is no bond/service agreement. Also the company had stated (pre-placement talk) for this post/job profile there will be no promotion for 3 yrs :( Placement Procedure: There were 2 rounds only- 1. Online Test which had basic/easy Aptitude, Quantitative and basic English questions and maybe very basic coding as well (It's been a while since I have given this placement and I forgot whether coding was there or not. But don't worry as I stated it will be very easy). 2. Interview (Technical+HR both in the same). It was 1on1 and was very basic as well. I was asked at the start what topics I know. I have an interest in IT industry so I stated Computer Networks and Cloud Computing. Then he asked what I know about them. I stated I am preparing for CCNA and AWS preparation and shared very basic cloud computing knowledge with him. So basically mostly I was talking whatever came to my mind and He was convinced maybe because DXC also provides cloud computing services and solutions and there is not a high supply of IT/cloud engineers as compared to software eng. and maybe I got lucky as my interviewer maybe didn't had any IT/Network/Cloud knowledge. One of my friends did the Interview in similar manner but the Interviewer did ask Networking questions to him (but again they were basic too). After that for HR, he asked basic HR questions like your strengths, weaknesses. How will you handle relocation to a new city and how will you handle stress. I have accepted the offer for now as I am trying for off-campus Cisco/AWS opportunities now and I didn't get selected in any of the other placements. Since there is no bond I can leave at any time ;)
