The interview was pretty organized (timed for all 3 sections). I received an email a few days before the interview with instructions for the performance task which was a short slideshow introducing myself and asking for examples of Previous Content Expertise, Previous Coaching Expertise, Previous PD Expertise, and an Elevator Speech of why they should hire me for the role. On interview day, there were 3 people at the table: Math Director, ELA Director, and another content VIP. The math director, he was very personable and made me feel comfortable. The other 2 ladies were neutral (stand offish). The first part of the interview was me presenting my 5 minute slideshow. After that, I was sent to a different room with 2 pages of Teacher Scenarios. The passages were long, and I was timed. There were questions for me to answer about the scenarios based on the teachers' actions or inactions as well as praise and improvement and structures I'd use to monitor improvement. After my 10 minutes of analyzing the scenarios were up, I returned to the panel and was timed for about 10 minutes and shared my responses. After that, there were about 10 questions that they took turns asking me round-robin style. Overall, the interview went well. I had done a lot of preparing prior to, so I felt good about the interview. However, they never got back to me, not even after my thank you email, or my follow up email 2 weeks later. No rejection email. No correspondence. Just crickets. That interview has been about 2 months ago. So overall, the experience was a typical interview experience. The only bad part about it was the ghosting part.
