The process started with an external recruiter from an agency. I had already signed up with another company so I was looking for a very specific base salary. The ext. recruiter confirmed that Dapper can easily go way above my expected base. I went through the interview and I did really well because of the interviewers for the sys. design were completely quite during the interview, didn't interrupt me once, then they said that the design was really solid. The big red flag was- after all the interviews, they took all my personal details for background check even before they had the feedback about my level from the interviewers. Usually, companies do background checks after the offer is accepted, these guys did that even before we talked numbers. Note: I do belong to the minority. The next day I had the offer call with their recruiter (who is unprofessional as it gets, he never shows up to the meetings on time). He shared nothing about the interviewer's feedback other than he still hadn't received my level from them. I told him my expected base salary, he said he will try to add a signing bonus to get to the base. A week later, he comes with a salary of a newbie software engineer along with a few pieces of peanuts. I enjoyed chatting with the engineers, but this company is very very sketchy, just stay away.
