I applied online. I interviewed at Darden (Orlando, FL)
Interview
A long process with the final interview being 4 hours long with meeting many different managers asking various questions. I felt it was way too long especially considering what the role is.
I applied online. I interviewed at Darden (Orlando, FL) in Apr 2021
Interview
I applied online and was contacted by the recruiter via text. Scheduled a screening with her and she seemed super impressed with my resume and actually commended me on how great of a candidate I was.
I then had an interview with a guy who apparently acts as the gatekeeper (sigh) for the manager who I would ultimately be working for. I’m not sure what the issue was but this guy was incredibly stand offish, and at one point, tried to downplay my advanced degree! I honestly think he was intimidated and dare I say “uncomfortable” with my presence. He thought he was so cool by asking questions that he clearly thought were revolutionary. None of them made sense or had anything to do with the job.
Considering it’s been almost a year since I interviewed and they are STILL reposting that same job, I’d say I dodged a bullet.
