I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Darktrace (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
I had one phone call with a recruiter and then came in person to the SF office. The hiring manager interviewed first. Seemed very cold. She then introduced me to another CSM that I would be working with, and we had a great conversation. The position seemed interesting and my direct colleagues seemed nice and approachable. I then asked about next steps and they said that I would be set up to talk to another person as the next step. The recruiter and I then were completely ghosted for over a month. Finally, after many emails, the DoC gets back to me saying that she had been traveling for a month (something that she could have easily mentioned last time I saw her, or in a quick email back to me during that time period). I eventually spoke to the CMO, who mentioned I should hear back in a week. When over 2 weeks later, I sent an email over to the hiring manager telling her that I was closing the loop, and providing some constructive criticism on their terribly messy recruiting process. If they don't show more respect to their candidates, they will be unable to build a lasting and cohesive work culture.

Question 1
What kind of campaign would you do for an AI product of your choice?
I applied online. I interviewed at Darktrace (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
Pretty straightforward, Initial recruiter screening followed by interview with HR asking regarding my experience, behavior questions and how I handle various situations with clients. they shared that after acquisition the company is in a bit of a chaos so they need someone who is ok with that.

they asked me to share my experience managing clients
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Darktrace in Jan 2025
Interview
Got rejected after the HR screening. HR screening felt very transactional, interviewer was just asking the standard, cliche questions without really trying to connect with me. I saw some of the horrendous reviews about Darktrace before the interview and made sure to get the interviewer's perspective on cultural challenges inside Darktrace. Interviewer gave an answer that didn't really make sense and was without substance.
One of my least pleasant interviews so far I would say.

Question 1
Why motivates you to join a cyber security company?
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Darktrace (Tokyo) in Dec 2024
Interview
I passed the TA screening and was scheduled for a first interview with their Team Lead. However, the interviewer leaked my application, CV, and possibly personal information to a colleague (Unsure about else, but they searched my LinkedIn profile "BY NAME").
This is a clear example of the risks in the cybersecurity industry—your people are often the biggest risk, and they are demonstrating it very well!
I raised this issue with their TA person, but she ignored my email and simply admitted to the leak without providing any further details even though I requested.
It's incredibly concerning and demonstrates a lack of trustworthiness and compliance within their culture.
