I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Dashlane (New York, NY) in Sep 2019
Interview
The recruiter was very friendly and professional. She got back to me within a day or two and scheduled an interview based on my availability. I've applied at Jobs where you don't hear back for days, and when you follow up they finally tell you the position was already filled, but that wasn't the case with Dashlane.
The hiring process took approximately 1.5 months and was initially supposed to consist of five rounds of interviews. After completing these five rounds (screening interview, head of ux, hiring manager, portfolio review and design challenge), I was informed that the company had decided to add two more interviews to the process. These additional interviews were promptly scheduled. However, just a few hours before the final scheduled interview, I received a 'feedback call' notifying me that the company had decided not to move forward with my application, and the last interview was canceled.
The unfortunate part is that the company didn't provide a specific reason for their decision during that call. They mentioned a few things, but offered no concrete evidence. As a result, no specific feedback was given regarding the portfolio presentation or the design challenge that were part of the interview process.
In summary, while the team was pleasant during all of the interviews and the company's product is decent, the hiring process appeared disorganized. My two main concerns were: 1) the process changed on the fly, and 2) concrete feedback was not provided.
