Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn.
The process is outlined on their website and is as follows: phone check, video interview with hiring manager, sales exercise (one mock sales pitch and three first touch point emails), final interview with leadership (sales director, person from outside of sales team, sales VP).
The interview process was very candid and I enjoyed the conversational aspect of it - no canned corporate questions like other sales interviews I had. The sales exercise was difficult for me to prepare for but you are given plenty of time to research and format your pitch/emails. I did not get an offer but was called by my recruiter who gave me feedback on the different steps in the process to help me in the future, which I greatly appreciated.

Interview
The hiring manager reached out to me on LinkedIn. I had a first round with the recruiter, second round with the hiring manager, third round with an account executive and a role play assignment with the hiring manager, final round was with three different senior sales/product leaders (director/vp level).
After I completed the last round, the recruiter let me know that they have moved forward with a different candidate. I really appreciated the fact that the recruiter set up time to chat with me regarding the interview results. It was a quick 5 minute phone call - she gave me really good context as to why they moved forward with someone else. I thoroughly enjoyed connecting with the team even though it didn’t work out in the end.
