Interview
Recruiter contacted me on Linkedin. Spoke to hiring manager. They wanted me to spend 20+ hours building a Cassandra application. I was unable to access the sandbox cloud environment that they wanted me to use. They expect you to drop your day job to do free tech work for a job interview. I work 60+ hours a week and don't have time for this crap.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DataStax in Dec 2018
Interview
First typical interviews with your future manager, one of your peers, one of the sales managers, the VP Sales, all conducted through Zoom web meetings. They give you a cloud environment to try out the product and an exercise to complete. This is a great chance to get first hand experience with the product. Finally you present a topic to a mixed audience, again through a Zoom web meeting.
