I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DataStax in Jun 2020
Interview
I was contacted by a recruiter via LinkedIn, I had no existing connections within the organization. All interactions were professional yet had a personal touch as well, was not spammed with "InMail" type messages.
Once past initial introductions to the company, process moved very quickly. 3 interviews total, one with a hiring manager, one values/culture focused interview, and one panel interview where I had to show a small POC and do a code review. Entire process from initial contact to offer was about 3 weeks and could have been shorter if my own work schedule permitted it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
From my experience, the culture questions proved to be most difficult to answer because they make you draw on past situations in work environment that may not be so comfortable.
How have you personally responded to incidents in workplace where someone was being excluded/discriminated against?
What is company benefit to creating a more diverse workplace environment?

Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a time when you took ownership of a significant project. Why was it important? What was the outcome?
Transparency is huge - recruiter was upfront about comp and benefits, I got to meet many of the people I would be working with directly, and I even got to meet someone in a similar role who gave me honest insights to the company & role outside of the formal interviews. I also did a sample demo / sales pitch which was a fun exercise to get my feet wet on the products I'd be working with and selling.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Interestingly, almost every interviewer asked me about how I envisioned myself in the role, what personal goals I had, and how those two met in mutually beneficial way for myself and the company.
