Received a call from CEO and Co-founder of DatStat. Prior to answering the phone I had no idea who she was, no knowledge of the company nor had I seen a job description. After a quick conversation she stated that I was a good candidate for the Recruiter /Generalist position and asked me to come in for an in person interview. I inquired were she had received my contact information; a mutual colleague shared my resume with her after I was RIF’ed from a local hospital.
The first interview was with their Sales Director. By the second question she stepped out of the room to grab a coworker waiting in the hall. The Healthcare Solutions Manager took over, shared with me that DatStat was attempting to deploy into local hospitals and asked me for the names and contact information of the physicians at the hospital where I had just recently worked.
I next spoke to the companies Office Manager. Of the four discussions I participated in that morning this conversation most resembled an interview. Main points of discussion, how to improve the productivity of a team comprised primarily of interns.
Next up DatStat COO. His question –what would be my first actions stepping into the Recruiter Generalist role. My answer –addressing DatStat's Glassdoor reviews, the companies currently sat at a 1.5 stars rating. We never finished our conversation; he took a personal call on his cell, launched into a debate with the caller before finally stepped out to finish his conversation privately.
I was left waiting several minutes for my fourth interview slotted with the CEO whom had originally requested I come in. I located her at the front desk. Upon seeing me she turned to the Office Manager ask her to tell her next appointment, slotted for the same time as our interview that she would be several minutes late. Joined me in the conference room, launched into a list of reasons she felt my qualifications were not a good fit for the position, thanked me for my time, they would be in touch.
