      Marketing Interview

      Interview

Waste of time. Interview with the hiring manager in the states was great. Was brought in for a 30 minute interview where the Executive notified me their counterpart 'refused' to meet with me within the first 5 minutes based on assumptions. Not sure if that was some sort of bizarre testing method they have. Regardless it completely threw me off my game and found it incredibly difficult to real from there for the rest of the interview.

      Interview

I first had a call with the recruiter, then I met with the hiring manager. Both took place within about a week of each other and went very well. I really liked them and was excited about the job. The recruiter said they would be in touch the following week, but I didn't hear from them. Three weeks later, I received a vague voicemail from the recruiter late on a Friday night saying she had an update for me and that she would also send me an email. I sent her an email the next day, which was a Saturday, and I didn't expect her to respond to it since it was the weekend--I just wanted to acknowledge I had gotten her voicemail. I never got that email from her and never received a rejection email from the system. I only found out I didn't get the job by logging into their HR platform. I later saw that the hiring manager was no longer with the company. I only found out by going to her LinkedIn profile and noticing the company was completely gone. It was bizarre. I think the job, which would have been part of a new team they were trying to build, was canceled. I tried to connect with the recruiter on LinkedIn but she ignored my request, which was crappy. I applied for another role at Dayforce, and mentioned in my connection request to the recruiter that I had applied for it, but I never got a response. Terrible candidate experience. The ironic part is that they sell HR solutions. Will never apply to this company again.

      Interview

I was super excited to interview and potentially work for Ceridian as I have multiple friends who currently work for the company. However, the interview process was pathetic. Not sure how this individual is the Director of Recruiting, considering her complete inability to communicate in a timely manner on dates, times and the method of interview. I.E. when the candidate has to follow up multiple times for a confirmed time or for the Zoom link, that's quite unprofessional and unacceptable. I completely understand that all of us are busy professionals, however, I doubt we’re this busy where we can’t respond to a candidate. Furthermore, when did recruiters forget an interview goes both ways? We are both interviewing each other on fit and culture. Lastly, the lack of empathy and recognition of being slow or unresponsive from this recruiter is surprising. She couldn’t event muster a simple apology with the mix up or response. Not sure what is going on with the recruiting/HR department but this was a horrible experience and makes me question whether or not Ceridian even is a people first company. Seems Ceridian has grown to the point where they are only a software company vs. a human first company that happens to have great HR software products. It’s been almost 4 weeks now without a response. Wow.

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Dayforce (Toronto, ON) in Dec 2018

      Interview

First there was a phone interview and then there was an in person interview. The experience was great and the people there made the interview experience enjoyable. The interview was very conversational. Lots of behavioural questions. They want to get to know you and see if your personality fits with the team.
