While I’m grateful to be given the opportunity this has been one of the worst interview experiences I’ve had in sometime. For starters prior to the interview I emailed the hiring manager asking what the format of the interview was, cultural, technical, background review, etc? And no response. I get on the interview and the interviewer says “as you know this is the cultural interview”. It would have been nice to be able to prepare. They also removed their job description from their website so in preparation for the interview I had to use a another website which did not have their core values and mission statement. So during the interview I was very handicapped not having this information. The company doesn’t have an about us page so their culture context was on the careers page which I didn’t visit due to the job description being removed. As a woman of color it’s disheartening as all you want is a level playing field when being evaluated for an opportunity which I wasn’t given.
