I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Delaware North in Jul 2019
Interview
Initial phone interview followed by a request to come onsite. I met with 3 people on the HR team individually. The interviews went well and that’s why I was a little alarmed to receive an automated message saying I was denied the offer the next morning. Each person gave me their contact information for any questions I may have post-interview but when I asked for feedback I did not receive anything.

Question 1
If there was one question you wished one of us would have asked you to set you apart from other candidates, what would that be?
I applied online. I interviewed at Delaware North (Phoenix, AZ) in Jun 2018
Interview
This was by far one of the worst interview experiences for me.
The current HR Generalist called at 6:00 pm on a Friday and did not introduce himself or the company. Mentioned that he came across my resume and would like me to come in for an interview. After I had to ask where he was calling from and ask more abut the role, we scheduled the interview for Monday morning. He said he would send me a confirmation email following the phone call with the address and time. I did not receive this email until Sunday night at 9:00pm. First impression: Poor planning and lack of communication
The office itself is very dated. Very small and old furnisher. The chair I was sat in for the interview did not have a seat in it, only a cushion! So I spent the duration of the interview holding myself up to make sure I didn't fall through. This was very uncomfortable to say the least.
The interview was with two people. They were about 10-15 minutes late to begin the interview. Solidified my first impression f poor time management. In terms of the questions asked, most were normal situational and competency based. However there is a way to make interviews conversational but these gentlemen were quite literally just reading off a list of questions they printed out. Once I answered a question there was response or reaction from them, they would directly just start asking the next question. It felt very impersonal and rigid. It gave the impression that they were not interested in getting to know the candidate. It is important to remember that interviews are not just to see if a company likes a candidate but also it's a chance for the candidate to interview the company and see if it's a good fit for them.
Leaving the interview I knew I did not want to work here. Not only was the office in bad condition but the culture just seemed very unfriendly based on how they conducted the interview and what little interest they had on making conversation apart from guided interview questions.
