Applied online via their website and filled out an online questionnaire. Got a call back about a week later and had a phone interview with a woman. Quite friendly and went well as she asked questions I was expecting e.g. tell me about yourself, your past employment, why do you want to work at DNC, what are your skills and why are you suitable for the role advertised. Was a short and quick call which lasted about 3-5 minutes to which she then replied I will get an email stating if I have been successful or not.
Email received a couple days later where I then got invited to an induction day at Wembley Stadium and there we had another interview, this time a group interview. Got given a mini booklet at the entrance where it had a little barcode and our details - this was to check your stats at the end of the day and how many questions you got right. The booklet contained about 10 activities where someone took us around the stadium to each little activity that was in the booklet already. The activities vary from spotting as much hazards and danger signs in a kitchen in 30 seconds to testing your memory with an informative tour around the stadiums and its kiosks where you have to write down each fact the tour guide states. For the hazard test, you go in with a partner and you have to work together to get 10/10 answers correct. Score any lower than 6 and you may not be successful.
The other activity I remember is we had to do a few ice-breakers and get to know as many people in this room and then wrote a fact about each person. After that we had to get into small groups and build a replica model of a random item (ours was the Shard building) out of newspapers and old magazines using just tape alone. My group all listened well thankfully and it was just a test of teamwork and co-operation, leadership skills and using initiative.
The whole induction lasted from 1:30pm to 6:30pm and you were emailed back whether you were successful that day or not.
