The interview process started with a recruiter round, which was mainly a basic introduction and background check to get to know me better. The second round with the hiring manager was positive—he was genuinely interested in my experience, asked relevant questions, and was an active listener.
However, the third interview was with a manager from a different team, and it felt out of place. The questions were unrelated to the role and seemed irrelevant to the position I had applied for. Finally, the head of product interviewed me, asking typical questions like, "Why do you want to work here?", "Why should we hire you?", "What if we can't offer you a full-time position?", and "How would you handle another offer?"
Unfortunately, after investing time and effort into the entire process, I found out that they cancelled the position and decided not to hire anyone from the final pool of candidates. It was a disappointing and frustrating experience, feeling like a waste of time for everyone involved.
