I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Deliverect (Toronto, ON)
Interview
TL;DR
THE WORST CANDIDATE EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE.
The process is completely broken.
On a scale 0-10: 2/10.
It is not 1/10 just because people throughout the process were actually decent.
Negatives:
1. The process lasted 3 months. From the first engagement to the offer. (Red flag right there: if the process is so long to close on one Talent Partner, Imagine how long it would take them to close on other roles)
2. I went through 7 rounds of interviews. Yeap, you read it right. 7. One round was in person. I have met 8 people. (Red flag: as a candidate, I had to jump through hoops. Overall the whole process communicates one thing - the team doesn't know what they are doing. They wouldn't be able to tell if the person is a top performer if a top performer stared them in the face).
3. They have set expectations to get back to me 4 times, and failed 4 times. Never got back to me on time. (Red flag: no integrity, no reliability, no responsibility, zero care for candidate experience).
4. No feedback throughout the process. Completely obscure.
5. I tried to negotiate the offer. They promised to come back with a new offer. Missed the date again - I had to follow up. The response was - the offer still stands at the previous number, there was no movement at all.
6. I declined the offer. There was no response from the business. Just ghosted.
7. I probed into strategy. The leaders do not create an impression that they have a strategy in place. The business is very reactive, and I've got the same impression from the leadership.
I am not surprised they have so many challenges on the TA side.
Feel nothing but compassion for people who have to work there. Must be such a pain.
