I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Deloitte (State College, PA) in Sep 2018
Interview
I interviewed with Deloitte from Campus recruiting. I networked at all of their events the best I could and made sure I talked to and got acquainted with the right people. For Deloitte or any other large financial consulting firm, this is the most important step in my opinion.
There were 2 on-campus interviews. Each consisted of 30 minute back-to-back interviews, one behavioral, one case study.
The behavioral is just to get to know you and ask you general behavioral questions. The case study was given by word of mouth and I brought a paper and pen so I could write down the prompt. Don't be afraid to ask them to slow down or repeat something when they give the prompt. Then you have to recite the prompt in how you understand the business case, and ask questions to see if there is any additional questions that they have. this usually included "what are the client CEO's goals?" or "What are the requirements for this project?". Then the interviewers will ask you specific questions regarding how to proceed with the case. Make sure to communicate your thought process and stay on task. If you go down the wrong loophole, the interviewer will try to steer you back on track. Don't get nervous if this happens - it's not about what your answer is, its about how you logically think through the problem and back up your decisions.
