I applied to for the reservations position in january 2017. I took the 3 questionaries and quizzes that were listed on the job listing. I heard back from Delta Recruitment 2 days later and was invited to do a Hireview interview. In the interview, they say its going to be a video but its all audio. I spent a 30 minutes getting ready, setting the room up, making sure my computer camera was set up only to find out that its audio. The four questions are behavioral questions. There are inly 4 questions. They consist of questions about satisfying a customer, dealing with a hard situation by yourself, overcoming an obstacle, ect.
I waited 3 weeks from the audio interview and finally got an email for an in-person interview. My interview followed the next week. I went to my in-person interview. It started out well. Everyone meets in the foyer of the office and just talks to each other. They have several(5-6) hiring managers mingling with you and trying to get to know you. Talk to them! Afterwards, we went into a large room and was told all about the procedure. We then watched a short film. All of the interviewers were then given the chance to introduce themselves. You have to say your first name, what " connect" means to you ( mention something about building relationship to the customer and team) and then lastly where we would first go if we got the job.
After the group introductions, they talk about all the job requirements, etc. They then break out into groups. The first interview you have is a sale interview. You are meeting with a hiring manager. they give you a picture of a coach seat and a business seat and it is your job to try and sell up a seat. Make sure you ask for the payment information and talk about sky miles in the sale. You will be graded and judged off your sale.
You will then have a second interview. The second interview is also with a hiring manager. They will ask you 3 introduction questions such as " are you willing to work holidays, weekends, nights", " why are you the perfect fit for Delta" and lastly " do you understand the requirements of the job?". Then they will start with 4 STAR interview questions. They will ask you to tell the answers in STAR form and they will review it with you. The hiring manager will be writing down everything you say so make sure you get to the point.
After everyone returns to the room, they will tell everyone thank you and then say that they need additional information for a few people. They will ask the others to leave. The people that say get the job and the people who are asked to leave not. Its that simple. They will tell you on the spot.
I was not offered the job. After I finished my second interview with the hiring manager, he closed up my interview folder and folded his arms. They told me that he had " seen people like me" and knew that because I had a college degree that I should be perusing something more relative to my field. I did not get the job because I was "overqualified." Just as advice, I would not recommend this job if you have a bachelor degree or have no experience of working at a call center. The other people that didn't get the job had no previous experience at a call center and neither did I. I felt that Delta had been discriminate against me thus I am writing this feedback.
