I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Delta Air Lines (Atlanta, GA)
Interview
I applied in November and didn't get a call back until April. I had to first get my passport, I called them back in March on a Thursday had the phone interview:
What to do about a customer that is angry that we aren't serving food they got on another flight?
What to do if their was a child running up and down the aisles?
What would you do if their was a intoxicated passenger that wanted another drink?
Tell me about 2 times when you witnessed someone being dishonest or unfairly treated, what did you do?
Then got asked another set of questions on the same phone interview:
Time you motivated a group?
Time you worked in a fast pace environment?
Time you had an angry customer and how did you handle it?
Time you persuade someone?
I got the call the next day to come to a face-to-face interview that next Tuesday
I walked in and there were about 40 people we entered a room that was lined with flight attendants, I think they knew what they were looking for but just be yourself because you never know what they are looking for. You get into three groups and you rotate from doing the jump seat test and the reach test and taking pictures as well as asking questions and learning more about what the job is all about. Next you go to interview where they ask you 6 questions and then have to create your own announcement they want to see how you talk. Then you watch a video about the life of a flight attendant.
They call people behind and those are the ones that make it, they wrote me an e-mail saying i didn't get it, but i knew i didn't I am young and I felt them putting walls up talking to me.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Give us a time that you learned something from an experience at work?
I am currently in the interview process for the FA position and have reached the ODV part of it. Most of the questions are expierenced based, so I would recommend just thinking of the times you have exceeded the customer service baseline before hand.
